Az elsõ nagy sikerű Superman-filmet hasonlóan nagy népszerűségre szert tevõ folytatás követte. E második epizódban Superman boldogan él Lois-szal, aki rájön, hogy Clark valójában maga Superman. Hamarosan azonban Lex Luthor kiszabadul a börtönbõl, és három természetfeletti erejű bűnözõ segítségével ismét harcba száll a Föld feletti uralomért.
