In the 1940s, in the port town of San Antonio, a young poet named Roberto falls for La Negra Ester, the charismatic prostitute who brings life to a famous local brothel. Based on the autobiographical décimas of Roberto Parra, this story of passion, jealousy, and desire captures the spirit of Chile’s popular culture.
