After a botched lobotomy procedure, amnesiac nun Sister Bernadette wakes up in the office of the enigmatic Father James. The priest insists that she is in purgatory and that he is the second coming of Christ. Although initially intrigued, Sister Bernadette realises that he isn't who he claims to be.
