On New Year's Eve, Sergeant Lukov fell behind his unit and stayed on a deserted highway, where he was picked up by a bus with artists from a provincial theater. This is how Lukov met Masha, a costume designer, and found himself in the city. By chance on the street he ran into a former colleague Tabakin, who committed a crime in the army and managed to escape punishment...
